Termogamma was founded in 1982 in Bellinzona, which is in the right south of the swiss Alps, in the italian speaking part of the country. During the first years, the focus was on developing and manufacturing of heat pumps. it is during this period, that was invented the air-smoke-water heat pump called Ecotherm, which war awarded with a silver medal at the Geneva invention fair. In 1985 the company moved to Giubiasco, in an ancient car factory with an area of about 3000 m2 . That year Termogamma began the development of a new type of products, addressed to the industry of high precision machine tools: Electro Discarge Machining, grinding, working centres, etc.

In this sector excellent result have been achieved, so that today number of the most important industries in the machine tool domain refer to Termogamma for the metal processing thermal stabilization.

In 1996 Termogamma moved to Biasca, in a brand new building, with 5000 m2. 

Meanwhile the company has been developing new products. Among the most prestigious one can find a whole series of precision chillers applied in the sector of bio-medical laboratory analysis  machines.

For the machine tool market Termogamma has developed several systems for the ecological filtering of processing fluids. These units, coupled with chilling units, bring Termogamma in a prestigious position by the european machine tool industry.

Today Termogamma, which employs about 50 people, is a reference company in the domain of heat pumps, the heat recovery and the thermophysical treatment of processing fluids. Its products are sold all over the world, directly or via its customers networks.

In 2006 Termogamma has entered in the Merloni Termosanitari Group (MTS), a global company in space heating and domestic hot water products and systems. Termogamma is the centre of excellence for the MTS in the heat pumps sector. With this partnership, Termogamma will be able to contribute to the further development of MTS in the renewable energy sector, which is strategically central to the whole Group.
